Ganesha, son of Lord Shiva, is worshipped to remove obstacles and bring happiness and success in life.  He carries symbols for meditation (Aksha Mala), of disentanglement (ax), Laddu (enjoyment) and root (deep wisdom). The mouse located at his feet is his  carrier and stands for overcoming all obstables.

Arms and other parts of this deity are goldplated and the face is decorated with 22 carat gold leaf. Half gemstones have been used for specific parts of this deity. Most subtle artwork from Asia!
